Unique Boutique Salon and Spa
Unique Boutique is one of Valemount’s most recent additions. The quaint, eclectic boutique is a spa/salon and a unique, boutique-style shop. The spa/salon side provides haircuts, colour and styling, shellac nails, eyebrow waxing, acupuncture and massage plus an array of beauty, spa and hair products. The shop carries a number of eco-friendly products, clothing, plants and flower arrangements.

Meet Melanie Chitty
Melanie Chitty had a vision of her ideal job, one that embodied the same values she embraced. The Unique Boutique Salon and Spa opened in November of 2012. In spite of the fact that other businesses were struggling and closing, Melanie saw, instead, an opportunity and a niche that her business could fill.
Melanie is proud to have been nominated for a Best Community Impact Award and the Small Business BC Premier's People's Choice Award. These honours have inspired her to keep striving to improve her business. Melanie believes that hard work and dedication will keep the economy alive and thriving in Valemount. After all, she says, it's the ideal place to live and work with its resplendent natural surroundings and all the amazing and talented people who live here.
